- "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head." (1 Samuel 1:11)
- "For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD." So they worshiped the LORD there. (1 Samuel 1:27-28)
(二) 撒母耳美好且不住增長的生命 - 耶和華與人越發喜愛他
II. The beautiful and growing life of Samuel -- In favor both with the LORD and men
─ "撒母耳在耶和華面前漸漸長大…耶和華與人越發喜愛他"(2:21, 26)
- The child Samuel grew before the LORD... and in favor both with the LORD and men. (2:21, 26)
- But Samuel ministered before the LORD, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod. Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. (2:18-19)
(三) 撒母耳敬虔的事奉態度 - 深知:『聽命勝於獻祭』
III. Samuel's godly serving attitude -- Knowing "to obey is better than sacrifice"
- So Samuel said: "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams." (15:22)
- "Here I am!" and "Speak, for Your servant hears." were the prominent serving attitude of Samuel since he was young. (3:4-6, 8, 10, 16). 作者: yingyinc 时间: 2009-2-12 19:46
