从录取看确实是need-blind. 但从给出的奖学金种类来说, 这儿的人们通常说need-based vs. merit-based ---- 看的角度不一样, 是对不同的问题的答案.
下面这段话说明学校是need-blind, 并且只给need-based的奖学金.这并不矛盾 (

All of Harvard's financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need - there are no academic, athletic or merit-based awards. Harvard, Princeton, MIT……我的朋友中,孩子去这些学校的,不止一、两个。听得多了,略知一些。
